The Triple Moon itself is not only representative of the Waning, Full, and Waxing phases of the lunar cycle but it is also representative of the Triple Goddess. The Triple Goddess symbol signifies the Maiden, Mother, and Crone.

The Maiden, being the youngest of the three, on the beginning of their journey. She represents the initial stages and innocence. The Mother, reaching maturity, represents fertility and sexuality. And then the final stage, The Crone who has reached full maturity and wisdom.
